Under the influence, Above the law
So often, those who fall victim to alcohol and drug addiction are shunned, judged, and regarded as losers or rejects. What accountabilty do those who sell drugs and alcohol have as distributors and contributors, including the Govt? And why is it that society seems to respect, embrace and sometimes glorify dealers/sellers but disrespect and discard the users/addicts?

as much responsibility as Coke & McDonalds have for people being obese. I think people glorify the "stuff" those people have more than anything. example: you can have a drug dealer thats making millions but likes to be low key so he drives an accord and lives a meager life; no one's glorifying him. and a pro athlete with millions can be a crack head but no one is looking at him/her as the addict on the street stealing to get another hit.
