Might seem like a good idea to instill fear like this, right? May even be a bit humorous. But then I came across these comments in response to the video: "If all black parents were like this man the black race wouldnt be worthless to the planet...
Im glad this only happens in 1% of the black homes, i kinda like them niggers being the way they are. Worthless"

"This video reaffirms my gratefulness that I wasn't born a nigger."
And that's not even half of the egregious comments made. It then begs the question: Is this man's response to his nephews actions actually just reinforcing negative behaviors? Especially ones that put us at the core of scrutiny by obvious white supremacists and maybe even ones who are not so obvious...
Whoooooaaaaaaa!
ReplyDeleteComments like the ones you came across are what gets me locked into heated web debates and arguments that drain me and waste my time. They also confirm and justify and validate my convictions as a Black Muslim in the Shabazz Nation...Follower of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad....
Anyway, I think more parents, guardians, family members and loved ones should be pro-active, interactive, and concerned enough to check and correct all the FaceBook Frontin'.
I think the nephew was more embarrassed by getting called out in the manner he was, more than being hurt from the belt. I think this act and reaction was appropriate and should have been more intense.
I see youngin's I know personally who are frontin' hard on FB and playing themselves, exposing and revealing all types of incriminating info and pics, and offering up so much damaging info that it is pathetic. Not just youngin's, but so-called grown folks too.
I wish I knew how to DELETE my FB. I can only seem to DEACTIVATE it. FaceBook is from Satan! Trust and Believe that!
There is nothing new about racist ignorance and white supremacist cowards hiding behind their user names! In Japan, they use severe corporal punishment and humiliation to ensure their nation stays at the top for excellence in technology and education. In China, they have 6 times our population and 1/3 of our crime rate. Why? Because they kick ass at home and in the streets. In the Caribbean, I know people who are still afraid to disrespect their parents and have much respect for authority because it was the way they were raised. Parents kick dat ass and these people tend to be more disciplined in their work ethic and respect in their relationships. In the middle east people get beat and made a public example of and they tend to be much more focused and disciplined than our democracy in the US. So who set the rules for freedom in this nation that we have so many rights that we have no discipline and no accountability. I wish he had got beat like I did when I was a child. He didn't even flinch or cry! Better yet! Who is the "master" of control by beating in the US? Good old white people! Ask some of your co-workers from other countries how their parents dealt with disobedience? Then you will see why they are so disciplined and their countries crime rates are so much lower.
