Is Beyonce the female Michael Jackson?
Beyonce's reign over the music industry in the last decade is undeniable. She went from an artist, built an empire (thanks in large part to Matthew Knowles) and now she's not only an artist but has become a brand. But do you think she would still be who she is today if she had not started with Destiny's Child? If she still had the vocal ability but not the looks and moves, would she be as successful? Finally, she was deemed the female Michael Jackson during one debate....but would you agree or disagree? Can she compare?

Michael was in a class and category all to himself as a Black, White, Male, and Female all in one! Even a Jehovah Witness and Muslim!
ReplyDeleteHe did it all, basically, and despite his weirdness and all the allegations and rumors against him, Beyonce will never touch is persona and status, or success. I look for her to fizzle in fade within 10 years! She is getting too trashy and playing out. Her father is a pimp just as much as her mother and I wish Michelle and Latoya Luckett more money and success than Beyonce!
Beyonce is talented but so are so many others. I like about 5 good songs from Beyonce and maybe another 2 are cool, but she really doesn't outshine Chrisette Michelle, Alicia Keys, Mary J, Sade, Corrine Bailey, Jill Scott, Keysha Cole, and so many other talented Black females. She just fits right in to me!
I'm sick of her and Jay Z. People need to big-up Angela Basset and her husband Courtney B. Vance or Forest Whittaker and his wife!
